Val Fourré: a changing Neighbourhood

The Val Fourré neighborhood in Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) undergoes the greatest urban change in its history.Located at the bottom of Vallé de la Seine, facing the Vexin plateau and bordered by the Mantes forest, the Val Fourré neighborhood was built during the 1960s and 1970s.

An urban plan scheme allowed the neighborhood to be opened by relying on natural axes, which become real urban boulevards and link the city of Mantes and the Val Fourré. On both sides of these axes, 80% of parkings were moved to free up puclic space.
