Situated along the structuring axis of the Route des Falaises, this project consists of the construction of a commercial center and housing. The landscape structure created allows this new entity to be connected to the city’s urban system. Two axes enhance these connections: a north-south axis, linking the project with the commercial center at the sight of the Route des Falaises, and an east-west axis that enhances the pedestrian continuity between neighborhoods.
A landscape grid integrates the parking areas useful to the project and generates sub-spaces that can be appropriated by the users and future inhabitants. The project complies with the ALUR law* and proposes an optimization of parking surfaces by the implementation of a design strategy generating a minimum of mineral surfaces. Rainwater is therefore managed entirely on site through the installation of landscaped basins and planted ditch.
